Security Cameras were installed at Mowbray Cemetery in another effort to increase security measures. Camera feeds are monitored by security and the offices on site whilst it is further monitored at the Security SA Monitoring and Control Centres.
According to Chairman of the Moslem Cemetery Board and Television Talk Show Host, Faizal Sayed, there has been a tremendous decrease in incident reports since the installation of the cameras, the raising of the approximately half-a-kilometer Northern Border Wall, and the institution of on-site security guards. “Mowbray Cemetery has taken a very proactive stance to security noting the amount of theft of memorial work on graves amidst other incidences in the past,” said Sayed.
There are further plans to increase the amount of Cameras.
