Mowbray Cemetery was established in the late 1800s on the slopes of Devil’s Peak against the picturesque backdrop of Table Mountain. The renowned site is the resting place of many members of the community including historical figures. Mowbray Cemetery is located next to the Groote Schuur Hospital, famous for being the institution where the first heart transplant took place.
